Our Mission

To enable communities to take positive action, build confidence, skills, enterprising mindsets, and create a lasting legacy of purposeful change.

Our Values are built upon three pillars of change:

  • Improving Lifestyles
Inspiring local people to improve the areas they live in.
  • Raising Aspirations
Building knowledge by sharing expertise and cascading skills.
  • Making a Difference
Creating legacies of action through lasting impact on people’s hearts, minds and places.

How do we do this?

We are encouraging positive change by delivering the following objectives:

  1. Improve health and wellbeing by delivering accessible activities that support healthier lifestyles, emotional wellbeing, confidence and social connection.
  2. Create safe and inclusive spaces where children, young people, families and adults feel welcomed, listened to, valued and supported.
  3. Raise aspirations and build confidence by helping people develop skills, try new activities, recognise their strengths and take positive steps forward.
  4. Encourage creativity, practical learning and social action through activities that help people express themselves, solve problems and contribute to their community.
  5. Reduce isolation and improve community connection by bringing people together through regular groups, projects, volunteering and partnership activity.
  6. Amplify community voices, choices and opportunities so local people can shape activities, influence change and become active contributors to healthier, more resilient communities.

We do this through our unique and innovative projects:

1. Children and Young People:

We hold Youth Groups every week in Rossington, Doncaster and Mosborough, Sheffield.

We deliver activities during school holidays.

We also provide a fortnightly Young Carers session in Doncaster.

Our youth group sessions to engage and encourage young people aged from 11 to 18 to develop valuable life skills, explore recycling and upcycling, arts and crafts, board games and have safe, comfortable meeting spaces.

We work with partners to deliver holiday activities for children aged 5 to 18 to have a go at Eco Arts and Crafts, turning recycled items and collections from nature into fun and interesting pieces of art.

Our young carer sessions enable children and young people to have a break from caring responsibilities, to enjoy a range of activities.  These sessions are for young carers aged 8 to 18 only.

We love recycling, up-cycling and re-use, we create fairy houses, wands and shields, eco robots, bug hotels, bird feeders, and mini food gardens, plus much more!
We have an interesting selection of games to create pop up youth groups in community centres within the heart of areas that need some youth support.

We work with partners to hire venues, work with their volunteers, and provide a valuable local service for local people.

We are grateful for the funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.  We could not do it without you.

2. Health and Wellbeing Programmes:

Good health is vital for a good quality of life. Healthy communities require healthy families. Our health and wellbeing programmes are designed to work within the communities where health issues are of major concern.  Our programmes focus on improving health and wellbeing by providing support to address obesity, diabetes, and improving heart health through behaviour change and skills development.

3. Community Consultation and Engagement:

We love to find out more about the communities we work in.  Our game AMPLIFY has been developed to help local people talk about their area and find out what needs to improve and work works for them.

Our Growtopia Environmental game helps to encourage conversations about the environment and simple changes that can help make lasting improvements.   This engaging and ‘escape game’ style includes literacy, numeracy, STEM skills alongside learning about growing food and sustainable food sources.

3. Training:

Our community skills sessions are aimed at improving health and wellness by developing skills for a healthier and happier life. This includes business skills, family finance, environmental arts and crafts, recycling and up-cycling, digital skills, community gardens and food forests.
